Free Trial Class

Step on the mat. On us.

Book a free intro class and try Iron Lotus with zero obligation — BJJ, Muay Thai, or kids martial arts. No experience needed, no card required, no pressure. Just show up ready to move.

How it works

Four steps from nervous to hooked.

Booking takes two minutes, the class runs on the regular schedule, and you decide nothing until after you’ve trained. This is the easiest first class you’ll ever take.

Book your free class

Grab a spot in two minutes — pick a program, tell us your age group and experience (zero is fine), and choose a class time that works. No card, no membership, no commitment. You’re just coming to train.

Show up 15 minutes early

Roll in a little early so we can meet you, sign a quick waiver, and give you a tour of the mats. We’ll pair you with a coach and, if you’re trying BJJ, hand you a loaner gi so you’re ready to go.

Train with the group

You’ll warm up, drill technique with a partner, and get coached through the fundamentals — at the pace of a first-timer. Beginners are never thrown into hard sparring on day one. You move when you’re ready.

Decide with zero pressure

After class, ask us anything — schedules, pricing, kids programs, the competition team. If Iron Lotus is your room, we’ll set you up. If not, no hard feelings and no follow-up spam. The free class is yours either way.

What to expect

  • A welcome from a real coach — not a sales desk
  • Beginner-paced drilling grouped with other first-timers
  • A loaner gi for BJJ and loaner gloves/wraps for Muay Thai
  • Straight answers on schedules, pricing, and kids programs

What to wear

  • Loose, comfortable athletic clothes you can move and sweat in
  • For BJJ: athletic shorts and a t-shirt — we’ll loan you a gi to try
  • For Muay Thai: shorts and a shirt — loaner gloves and wraps provided
  • Bring a water bottle, and train barefoot (mats only, no shoes)

What Members Say

Built on community.

★★★★★

I came in knowing nothing about BJJ, completely intimidated. Marcus spent the first month just teaching me to not panic on the ground. Three years later I’m a blue belt and competing regionally. The progression here is real. Iron Lotus changed my life.

★★★★★

Jana’s Muay Thai classes are no joke. She breaks technique down in a way I’ve never seen at any other gym — the mechanics behind why a kick works, not just where to put your foot. I’ve been training for 2 years and I’m still learning something every single class.

★★★★★

My 8-year-old started Sam’s kids class last year. The transformation in his focus, his confidence, and his attitude at school has been remarkable. Sam somehow makes it feel like playtime while actually teaching real martial arts. We couldn’t be happier.

Before Your First Class

Free trial, answered.

Is the trial class really free?

Yes — one full class, completely free, with no obligation to join and no card required to book. We’d rather you feel the room before you decide anything. Most people show up nervous and leave asking when they can come back.

What should I wear to my first class?

Loose, comfortable athletic clothes you can move and sweat in. For BJJ, wear athletic shorts and a t-shirt and we’ll loan you a gi to try. For Muay Thai, shorts and a shirt work great — we provide loaner gloves and hand wraps for trial classes. Train barefoot on the mats, and bring a water bottle.

Which class should I try if I’ve never trained?

Adults with no experience should start in BJJ Fundamentals or Muay Thai Basics — both are built for complete beginners and grouped so you’re learning alongside other first-timers. Kids ages 5–14 have their own age-appropriate classes. Not sure? Tell us your goal when you book and we’ll place you.

What ages and class types do you offer?

We teach kids (ages 5–14), teens, and adults across Brazilian jiu-jitsu (gi and no-gi), Muay Thai striking, and an invite-only competition team. Kids run on a separate, faster-paced belt system. Whatever your age or fitness level, there’s a beginner on-ramp for you.

Do I need to be in shape first?

No — you get in shape by training, not before it. Class intensity is scalable: you’ll drill technique at your own pace, and you can tap out or take a breather any time. Plenty of our members walked in months out of any exercise and built their conditioning on the mat.

Will I have to spar or fight on my first day?

Absolutely not. Beginners spend their first classes learning position, movement, and technique — no live sparring until you and your coach agree you’re ready, usually after several weeks. The free trial is about learning the basics safely, not getting thrown to the wolves.

Your first class is on us.

Booking takes two minutes and asks for no card. Pick a class for yourself or for your kid, show up, train once, then decide. Classes run Monday through Saturday.
